All of these illustrations come from my oldest magazine: Woman magazine from April 26th, 1947. It amazes me that something made of paper can last for so many years.

The magazines from the earlier eras are so much thinner than the later editions. The styles in clothes, hair and makeup seem to change drastically as well.

I’ve become a bit addicted to these magazines. I’m watching lots on Ebay at the moment, and I might have to start bidding soon… don’t tell Aidan!
