This weekend we had a fab time in London. A had planned to do the British stage of the Tour de France again – all 120 miles (plus 10 miles) of it. I had a very pleasant day wandering around London with A’s brother and brother’s girlfriend.
As a result, here is my quick guide to wandering aimlessly in London….
DO: Race around London’s Tottenham Court Road looking for a digital camera to allow you to complete blogging of jaunts to London.
DO: Double back to Space Invader wall art seen earlier with newly bought camera.

DO: Take photos of the amazing staircase at Liberty’s in London.
DON’T: Accidentally capture prim-looking middle-aged women in the picture.

DO: Plant a roof/walls made of flowers and plants.
Definitely DO: steal as many freebies from shop as humanly possible.

DO: Take advantage of half price and £1 sales in charity shops by buying vintage jewellery.

DO: Buy the only affordable item in the Salvation Army charity shop near to Euston Station.
DON’T: think that you’re strange for being deliriously happy for finding another Baret Ware biscuit tin so soon after the other one!

DO: take sneaky pictures of the West German pots in a snooty antiques centre.
DON’T: pay £65 for each one…

DO: Take more sneaky pics in the antiques centre in Letchworth.
DON’T: dare ask if the curtains are for sale! Think they were part of the shop unfortunately.

DO: Take pictures of your in-law’s retro prints in the spare bedroom.
DON’T: Forget to take a note of who it’s by…

DO: take pictures of the black squirrels in the park.
DON’T: be surprised if you manage to scare it off (see next!).

Lovely! Almost exactly what I would do, or would want to!
Do it, it’s a fab day out! x
