One of our favourite pots from the last trip is this one:

We found it in an antiques shop that was filled to the brim with West German Pottery; however, most of it was quite highly priced. Well, to be honest, it was probably fairly priced but in the context, it seemed quite expensive. This was one of the very few pieces we found that seemed quite reasonable.

It’s an amazing glaze; something like the sucker pads on an octopus’s tentacles. My parents gave Aidan some Euros for his birthday – which was on the Friday we drove down to Dover – so this is the one he’s claiming as his birthday present.
